Detonator Control Switches

Introducing our NEW line of Diamondback Industries Detonator Control Switches!  All parts in our switches are precision machined parts and are made from high quality materials.  Our switches are rated to withstand 450 degree temperatures and our pressure rating is 15,000 PSI.  Vented piston chamber allows compressed air to be released outside of housing, therefore reducing risk or switch failures caused by high velocity from multiple gun detonations (Switch Blow-out).  We use a dual O-ring design on our pistons to insure straight movement reducing the petential of piston becoming cocked during detonation.  Our switches are color coded to reduce mix-up in the field.  The component quality of our switch is monitored during all processes of manufacturing and assembly.  Final testing is a 100% check for continuity through the leads as well as 100% testing the bridge rectifier diode for direction and proper ohm readings.
The Diamondback Positive & Negative Pressure Switches allows shooting any number of random length guns with one trip into the well. Length and number of selections are limited only by rig height, line strength, and hole deviation.
Disposable, polaritydiscriminating switches provide selective firing control.
Pressure switches are acuated by the shock wave from charges and detonating cord below the switch.

Positive Pressure Switch (RED)

positive_pressure_switch_f

Red wire with diode and yellow wire. Yellow wire connects to rope socket (through circuit), downhole pin continues through circuit to lower guns, and red wire connects to detonator. Red wire is open until gun below switch detonates. Detonator wire diode blocks NEGATIVE -DC current from detonator but passes POSITIVE +DC current to detonator.Rating: 450 degrees F 15,000PSI

Negative Pressure Switch (BLACK)

Black wire with diode and yellow wire. Yellow wire connects to rope socket (through circuit), downhole pin continues through circuit to lower guns, and black wire connects to detonator. Black wire is open until gun below switch detonates. Detonator wire diode blocks POSITIVE +DC current from detonator but passes NEGATIVE -DC current to detonator.

Advantages of Diamondback Switches
1. All parts in our switches are precision machined parts and are made from high quality materials.
2. Our switches are rated to withstand up to 450 degree temperatures.
3. Pressure rating is 15,000PSI.
4. Vented piston chamber allows compressed air to be released ourstide of housing, therefore reducing risk of switch failures caused by high velocity from multiple gun detonations.  (Switch Blow-out)
5. Our uniqe design of plunger pin and contact incorporates a swaging process to join these two parts, when fired.
6. After the piston movement actuates the pin to transfer voltages to the contact, our design stays connected even if the piston is moved in the opposite direction by the next firing sequence.
7. We use a dual O-ring design on our pistons, to insure straight movement reducing the potential of piston becoming cocked during detonation.
8. Our switches are color coded to reduce mix-up in the field.
9.  The component quality of our switch is monitored during all the processes of manufacturing and assembly.
10.  Final testing is a 100% check for continuity through the leads, as well as 100% testing the bridge rectifier diode for direction and proper ohm readings.
